General awareness with special reference to banking industry- Countries/Currencies, Current affairs of last 6 months, Indian Economy, Banking terms, International Economy, RBI, Fiscal Monetary Policies, Books & Their Authors, Repo rate, Social Function of Banks, Reverse repo rate etc., UNO, Marketing, Finance, Awards & Honors Sports, History of Banking and Agriculture etc.

Time of exam:
- For Officer scale II specialist cadre and Office Assistants and – total time-3 hours
- For all others – Total time of exam- 2 hrs. 30 minutes
Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks out of 1 mark question in IBPS RRB exams for officers and office assistants for every wrong answer. This exam will have Five options and you have to choose the right answer among them.
